Navi Limited, the financial services company founded by Sachin Bansal, has successfully raised $100 million in funding from investor Prosus. Established back in 2018, the organisation operates within the financial sector by providing a diverse array of offerings that include loans, insurance, mutual funds, and UPI payments.
This transaction marks the company’s first institutional funding round since its founding. The newly acquired capital will enable the company to expand its various financial services moving forward.
Growth and Financial Performance
Behind this milestone are notable figures highlighting the scale of operations. Navi Finserv currently manages assets exceeding the threshold of Rs 13,000 crore. Furthermore, the enterprise reached consolidated profitability during the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026.
Speaking about the transaction, Navi Group Founder and Executive Chairman Sachin Bansal noted that this investment serves as a strong endorsement of the institution they are building. Beyond the capital itself, he emphasized the value of Prosus’s global perspective, long-term orientation, and extensive experience in scaling technology businesses.
Investor Perspectives and Regulatory Status
Ashutosh Sharma, who serves as the Head of Prosus India Investments and M&A, shared that the firm is excited about the partnership. He pointed out that Navi demonstrates several key qualities they look for when investing, such as a large base of loyal users, a platform approach with multiple lines of business, a technology-first mindset for problem solving, and a clear focus on delivering superior consumer experiences.
This investment aligns closely with Prosus’s strategy of backing leading technology platforms throughout India. It also reflects their confidence in Navi’s business model, execution capabilities, and long-term ambition to build one of the nation’s leading technology-driven financial services institutions.
At present, the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and applicable regulatory approvals. This includes securing the necessary clearance from the Competition Commission of India (CCI).
