Bharat Housing Network raised $5 million in green bonds from Symbiotics, according to information published on September 29, 2026. The co-lending platform provides technology and infrastructure to enable capital deployment across mortgages, clean energy, mobility, and gold loans.
The investment forms part of a $75-million green basket bond program. Symbiotics structured this program alongside British International Investment, which functions as the United Kingdom development finance institution and impact investor. The initiative aims to drive the adoption of renewable energy solutions across Asia and Africa.
Capital will be channeled through the group non-banking financial company Singularity Creditworld to finance sustainable green assets in India. The organization intends to deploy these proceeds toward solar rooftop financing, electric mobility financing, and credit provisions for new-age clean technology micro, small, and medium enterprises.
Keyur Vinchhi, who serves as SVP of Strategy and Business Development at Bharat Housing Network, provided a statement regarding the transaction. He noted that the capital arrives while India energy movement transitions rapidly past metropolitan hubs into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
Vinchhi stated that Bharat Housing Network will leverage its established co-lending platform and secured lending capabilities to deploy the funds across high-impact green segments.
Network Reach and Future Plans
Data provided in the company statement indicates that the network has enabled close to Rs 2,000 crore of credit to over 40,000 low-income and middle-income borrowers to date.
Bharat Housing Network has financed the installation of 7,162 KW capacity of solar rooftop energy and the purchase of over 800 electric vehicles. The company reports a potential carbon dioxide emissions saving of 1,01,500 tonnes from these activities.
As part of its continued focus on sustainable finance, Bharat Housing Network is targeting an issuance of up to $25 million in green bonds by the end of FY2027-28. The proposed issuance is intended to support the expansion of green asset financing and strengthen the availability of capital for sustainable businesses and retail borrowers.
Bharat Housing Network operates as a part of Homeville Group. The organization receives backing from investors including NABVENTURES, 100Unicorns, Varanium, Riverwalk, and LC Nueva.
