Eligible Jio users can now access premium design tools from Canva without paying any fees for a full period of 12 months, according to a joint statement released on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. This offering comes through a partnership between the two companies, aimed at bringing professional visual creation capabilities to a wide audience.
Eligible users can activate either a Canva Pro or a Canva Pro Lite subscription directly through the MyJio application. The platform provides millions of premium templates alongside artificial intelligence tools designed for creating professional presentations and publicity materials. The offer is available on select eligible Jio plans, including the ₹399 plan for Canva Pro and eligible plans for Canva Pro Lite. It is also available to users who have never held a paid Canva subscription.
Regional Support and Leadership Remarks
The collaboration includes support for various Indian languages. This addition is intended to make the platform accessible to users across different language preferences in India.
Reliance Industries Limited President Kiran Thomas stated in the announcement that the initiative places world-class artificial intelligence design tools into the hands of millions of Indians. He noted that the offering is free and available through a tap on MyJio to help students, creators, entrepreneurs, and small businesses create, learn, grow, and earn in a digital-first India using their preferred language.
Cliff Obrecht, who serves as Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at Canva, also commented on the partnership in the statement. He described the collaboration with Jio as an entry into a new chapter for the company in India, noting that it will help bring the platform to millions more people across the country and enable individuals to communicate and bring their ideas to life.
