Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group Secures $40 Million in Funding

Hyderabad-headquartered Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Group has successfully closed a $40 million funding round to accelerate its global expansion and enhance its indigenous technology offerings.

The investment, which amounts to approximately ₹400 crore, will be deployed to scale the company’s precision manufacturing infrastructure and strengthen its specialized deep-tech and mission systems divisions across India, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Expansion of Raghu Vamsi Aerospace Manufacturing Capacity

The capital injection is set to support the development of a new integrated manufacturing campus located at Hardware Park near the Hyderabad International Airport.

This facility is intended to consolidate the company’s design, engineering, and assembly processes, allowing for more efficient production of aerospace components.

The group currently maintains over ten facilities across three countries, supporting a workforce of more than 1,200 employees.

With an existing order book valued at over ₹2,500 crore, the company provides critical aero-engine components and sub-assemblies to major global original equipment manufacturers.

Key clients in the aerospace sector include GE Aerospace, Collins Aerospace, Honeywell, and Safran. Additionally, the firm serves the energy industry by supplying components to organizations such as Halliburton, Baker Hughes, SLB, and GE.

Investment in Mission Systems and Deep-Tech Platforms

Beyond its contract manufacturing services, Raghu Vamsi is focusing on the growth of its indigenous technology portfolio.

The company develops specialized hardware including micro turbojet engines, hydraulic pumps for aircraft, and various missile subsystems. These products are designed to support domestic defence programs and contribute to the company’s broader mission systems objectives.

The group is also advancing its ARROBOT platform, which focuses on unmanned ground vehicles and drone technologies utilizing jet and IC-based propulsion.

To support these technical ambitions, the company has fostered research collaborations with various institutions, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), and research agencies such as DRDO and ADA.

Funding Round Led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management

The funding round was led by Norwest and Skegen Asset Management, reflecting significant investor interest in the company’s integrated manufacturing model.

Other participants in the round included Indus Bridge Ventures, GJNX Ventures, and individual investor Ashish Kacholia. This group of investors aims to support the company as it scales its operations and continues to deliver mission-critical work for global clients.

The investment provides the necessary resources to strengthen the company’s talent pipeline and invest in new technology.

By maintaining a focus on end-to-end manufacturing capabilities—ranging from CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication to specialized NADCAP-approved processes—the company aims to solidify its position as a key player in the international aerospace and defence supply chain.

This financial backing marks a significant milestone for the firm, enabling it to transition into its next phase of growth while continuing to build globally competitive aerospace technologies from its base in India.
