Home interiors startup Gravity raised $15 million in funding through a combination of equity and debt financing. The investment round was led by 3one4 Capital and Info Edge Ventures. Additional participants in the round included Alteria Capital, Genesia Ventures, and various angel investors.
The company was founded by Saurabh Jain and Lalit Mittal, who are former executives of Livspace.
Gravity is building a platform for the interior materials ecosystem in India. The enterprise brings together specialist businesses operating in the kitchen and wardrobe segment by providing a shared operating backbone, technology, distribution, and key-account management.
Founders Explain Market Context And Plans
Gravity Co-founder Saurabh Jain stated that while organized design and execution have changed the home interiors market over the past decade, the materials layer behind projects remains complex and fragmented.
Jain noted that designers, studios, and suppliers navigate multiple systems and stakeholders to deliver projects. He added that the startup aims to make sourcing simpler, more dependable, and more efficient through a platform built around industry needs, combining product depth with availability and execution at scale.
According to Gravity, a structural shift is underway in the Indian home interiors market. While architects, designers, modular showrooms, and design-and-build studios influence material decisions, the supply landscape remains fragmented across single-category suppliers, dealers, and distributors.
Gravity aims to simplify sourcing for these customers while improving pricing visibility, fulfillment, service levels, and availability across categories.
Gravity co-founder Lalit Mittal noted that designers and studios influence a large share of material decisions, but managing sourcing across categories remains operationally challenging and time-consuming. Mittal stated that the platform brings together common capabilities in customer service, distribution, technology, and procurement to improve experiences for specifiers and category businesses.
Gravity plans to use the capital from this funding round to strengthen its key-account infrastructure, distribution, and technology.
The funds will also support category expansion, build brand capabilities, and provide working capital to scale the platform over time. The startup intends to expand beyond kitchens and wardrobes into adjacent interior systems by utilizing its shared operating infrastructure to serve a wider set of material categories.
