Myntra Expands Career Programs to Support Women in Technology

Myntra is expanding its focus on long-term career development for women, with initiatives spanning return-to-work programs, leadership development, technical careers, and workplace support.

Women currently make up around 38% of the company’s workforce, and the organization is now working to increase this representation within senior leadership and technical functions.

Myntra Focuses on Long-Term Career Growth

The company operates the Phoenix program to assist women returning to the workforce after a career break. This initiative provides a six-month period of structured onboarding, mentorship, customized learning, and hands-on project work to help women transition back into their careers. Myntra is currently running the fifth edition of the program.

Phoenix Helps Women Return to the Workforce

Phoenix has supported women returning to the workforce across multiple editions, with Myntra continuing to expand the program across technology and other business functions.

The company’s current Phoenix roles include areas such as software engineering, data science, design, sourcing, demand planning, and category management.

Leadership Programs Support Career Progression

For current employees, Myntra offers targeted leadership pathways. The Ascend program supports women transitioning from senior manager to director roles, while Ascend X helps director-level employees prepare for broader enterprise leadership. These efforts are supplemented by life-stage support, including care for pregnancy and postpartum, as well as crèche and daycare facilities.

Women in Tech Builds Industry Connections

Myntra also hosts a Women in Tech platform to facilitate discussions among industry experts on AI, product development, and leadership. Recent editions have included participants from companies such as Google India, NVIDIA, Thomson Reuters, Anthropic, Flipkart, and Myntra. This platform aims to build a community for sharing knowledge and professional networking.

Myntra’s broader focus on employee development includes internal career opportunities and programs designed to strengthen its talent pipeline. The company has also been increasing its focus on internal mobility and development as part of its broader approach to talent management.

The company continues to emphasize long-term career development, leadership progression, and workplace support as it works to strengthen representation and create more opportunities for women across its technology and leadership functions.
