Google Launches AI Learning Tools For Students And Exam Prep

Google has introduced a fresh set of artificial intelligence features aimed at helping students get ready for competitive and standardized examinations.

Sundar Pichai, the chief executive officer of Google and Alphabet, announced the rollout after posting a multiple-choice question on social media that highlighted tests such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, JEE, and NEET. The update brings powerful digital resources directly into Google Search and Gemini to streamline how learners study.

Students can now use Google Search to build customized practice quizzes across a wide variety of subjects. These quizzes draw on expert content created through partnerships with major education companies including The Princeton Review, Careers360, PhysicsWallah, and Akira Enem.

Learners can also generate interactive visuals to break down difficult concepts, use Google Lens to work through problems step by step, and organize their coursework using custom files and notebooks.

Personalized Studying With Gemini

A dedicated student hub within Gemini now gives learners a centralized space to stay organized and access various educational utilities.

The hub features study notebooks that rely on diagnostic quizzes to pinpoint specific knowledge gaps and strengths. Based on those results, Gemini can design bite-sized study plans that match individual learning goals while also providing flashcards and practice quizzes.

Additionally, Google is integrating Deep Research into Gemini Live. This addition allows students to request detailed research reports and talk through them conversationally while they are on the move.

For educators, new tools inside Google Classroom let teachers tailor the artificial intelligence experience to fit specific curricula and track student progress in real time. A connected Classroom app within Gemini also permits teachers to safely draft lesson plans.

Free AI Subscriptions For College Students

Alongside these feature updates, Google is rolling out learning capabilities and free artificial intelligence subscriptions for college students located in over 140 countries. As part of a back-to-school initiative, eligible college students in the United States can receive one year of Google AI Pro at no cost. This tier includes access to Gemini Spark, higher usage limits, and five terabytes of storage.

Eligible college students situated outside the United States can access Google AI Plus for free, which provides higher usage limits alongside four hundred gigabytes of storage. That international offering also includes bundled discounts on Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium to support learners globally.
